Review Summary
HostMDS is supported by MCI/Verizon OC-192 backbone so they have the bandwidth to support your website. They also have reduced their monthly cost down to $4.95 which is a great deal and very competitive. Perhaps the best part though is that HostMDS doesn't host your site on one server - if a server goes down your site doesn't as its spread across multiple servers so your website should be up more often than with most other hosts. As a last little gem we really liked the free MSN Adcenter credits which you get in addition to the Yahoo marketing credits.
Cost/Value: If they keep that price down at $4.95 then they've made a good move. It puts them into a much better position on our rankings.
Storage/Bandwidth: Unlimited.
Features: Again a pretty good feature set.
Reliability: No major issues. Some slowdowns at peak traffic times but those are pretty common with shared hosting.
Support: Two of our calls took over 5 minutes to be answered but the other two were answered promptly. Maybe we just hit some bad timing, but in truth even a 5 minute wait is pretty amazing for most support centers.
